COMMUNITY REFERENCE GROUP (CRG)

The Hinze Dam Alliance established a Community Reference Group (CRG) to ensure and facilitate two-way communication with the Gold Coast community during the construction of Hinze Dam Stage 3.

The CRG comprises of nine members and a chair representing broad sections of the community, their role is to address issues relating to the Hinze Dam Stage 3 project as outlined in the Terms of Reference. The aim of the CRG is to:

• maintain the link between the community and the Hinze Dam Stage 3 project
• provide the community feedback to the Hinze Dam Stage 3 project team so that any issues or questions that arise can be responded to in a timely fashion
• provide input into community issues
• convey information from the Hinze Dam Stage 3 project to the broader community

The members represent the following interest groups:

• Environmental interest or catchment group
• Tourism
• Fish Management
• Education
• Recreational Area Management
• Community
